PC Running Slow? How to Fix Your Slow Running Computer and Make it Run Like New

If you compare your computer now from what it was a year ago, do you notice any difference? Obviously, you can. Most computer owners have noticed that as time goes by,their computers are running slower.

Here are some steps technicians take when they fix your computer. Just follow these easy steps and you can avoid having to call a technician.

If there are too many programs installed in your computer, then it is time you delete some. How do you determine if you have too many programs installed? If your computer has slowed to a crawl there is a good sign.

Ask yourself these questions.

1. Do you use the programs you have installed. If the answer is no remove them completely.

2. The next thing to check is to make sure there are no programs installed that you are sure you did not install. This may sound strange but if there are, they could be adware or worse, pretending to be common programs, to prevent you noticing them.

It is only when you come to uninstall them that you notice they keep going to websites asking you if you are sure you want to uninstall them and giving you long winded reasons to leave them on your computer.

How do these get on your PC?

When you install software, especially free software that you have downloaded off the internet they usually ask you if you want to install some other software for free.

In many cases there is nothing wrong with this, but in some cases you are installing an adware toolbar, or software that does nothing except generate annoying pop ups and ads all the time. Read carefully before you agree to install anything.

3. When you have done this the next step is to look at your windows registry. Most people do not know what this is but when there are problems with it you will soon find out. If you notice desktop icons disappearing, windows slowing down and crashing or you are losing program settings this an indication of registry errors, or corruption.

You can run a free registry scan and check to see if there are registry errors. When you run a scan you will see a graphical interface that tells you what the errors are, all you need to do is click a button that tells you they can be fixed or removed and you can fix these errors in minutes and have your computer running fast again.
